The State Archives in Białystok, in addition to the tasks focused on collecting, storing and securing archival materials, also conducts extensive publishing, educational, popularization and promotion, digitization (aimed at making resources available online) and research. Organizes, in consultation with academic centers, apprenticeships for students, stores and secures non-archival documentation left over from liquidated workplaces, and from 2018 - also election files.
