Departmental Archives of Val d'Oise (Archives départementales du Val-d'Oise) (France)

The oldest archival collections come in part from the Archives des Yvelines and the old Seine-et-Oise, according to the principle of devolution decided by the former Directorate of Archives of France (DAF). The vast majority of these are public archives, more occasionally private archives and a heritage library. Some collections also concern certain municipalities of Seine-Saint-Denis and Yvelines (former arrondissement of Pontoise). The oldest archival document dates from the 11th century and the oldest library work from the 16th century.
