National Archives of Australia - Queensland Office (Australia)

The National Archives collection in Brisbane is located on the land of the Turrbal and Yugara peoples. The strengths of the collection include: immigration records that date from the 1850s, post office and mail service records and photographs, works plans which cover everything from iconic buildings such as the General Post Office and Customs House, to defence service homes built in typical Queenslander fashion. These records, taking the form of files and images, provide a rich source of information on local history.
