Presidency of Turkish Manuscripts Institution (Türkiye Yazma Eserler Kurumu Başkanlığı) (Turkey)
The Presidency of Manuscripts Institution of Turkey was established in order to enable the manuscript libraries to serve effectively as specialized units, to collect and preserve the cultural heritage manuscripts and rare printed works with old letters, to deliver them to the future in a healthy manner, and to put them at the disposal of the world of science, culture and art. It is a state institution affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, with legal personality, with a special budget, and headquartered in Istanbul. It was established with the Law No. 6093 on the Establishment and Duties of the Turkish Manuscripts Institution, which was adopted on 28 December 2010.
