About Me

Ian Marson has undertaken Genealogical Research since 1980 and has been a full time professional researcher since 1998. He is a member and current Chairman of ASGRA (the Association of Scottish Genealogists and Researchers in Archives). He is a former Trustee of the Society of Genealogists and member of its Education Committee. He was Chairman of AGRA (the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) from 2008 and was elected a Fellow of AGRA in 2013. Ian is a keen local and family historian and was long time Chairman of Rotherham Family History Society. He specialises in research in Yorkshire and the North East of England, including the Scottish Borders.
